Intentional Collisions Create Millions at The Hub

Katie Hill

Meaningful connections have the power to unlock extraordinary opportunities. The Hub’s mission is to cultivate an environment where innovation thrives, collaboration flourishes, and groundbreaking ideas take root. A shining example of this is the story of Katie Hill who is reshaping the real estate industry through her cutting-edge company, UNLISTED.

Katie Hill, founder and CEO of UNLISTED, is no stranger to entrepreneurship. As a two-time winner of the Flyer Pitch competition hosted by the University of Dayton, Katie has demonstrated a knack for tackling challenges with creativity and precision. Her company, UNLISTED, leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning to unlock off-market real estate opportunities, connecting buyers, sellers, and agents in ways never before possible. It’s an innovative approach designed to expand the market beyond the 5% of homes typically listed for sale each year, giving homeowners and buyers new options and flexibility.

While Katie’s vision is impressive, the story behind UNLISTED’s rapid success speaks just as much to the power of relationships and community. Katie’s first hire, Sophia Jacomet, now plays a key role in the company’s growth. A graduate of the University of Dayton’s entrepreneurship program, Sophia met Katie through their connection at The Hub. What started as an internship opportunity has blossomed into a full-time role, with Sophia helping to steer UNLISTED during a pivotal stage of growth.

This collaboration underscores what makes The Hub such a distinctive and valuable space. Intentionally designed to spark collisions between entrepreneurs, students, and professionals from various industries, The Hub fosters transformative connections and bold ideas. As both an innovation center and a college campus for the University of Dayton and Sinclair Community College, it brings together a diverse community under one roof. By seamlessly blending education, innovation, and collaboration, The Hub creates a unique ecosystem where members thrive and turn ambitious ideas into reality.

UNLISTED recently announced it has secured $2.25M in seed funding, led by HearstLab and Hearst Newspapers, with additional backing from prominent venture capital firms. The investment marks a major milestone for the company, enabling it to continue its mission of transforming the real estate experience. Katie’s ability to merge innovative technology with practical solutions reflects the same forward-thinking energy that drives so many members of The Hub.

At The Hub, we take pride in being part of journeys like these—where connections forged here lead to incredible opportunities and lasting impact. Katie and Sophia’s story is a testament to the power of community, collaboration, and the support systems that enable ambitious ideas to thrive.
